Octaine booster?

Heres the situation, What would happen if i put 4 gallons of 93 octaine, one bottle of octaine booster (recommendations anyone?) and bumped my boost up to about 25 psi, just for a few runs at the track. Is stp's octaine booster actually going to work or is that all just a gimick?

i've always heard that booster does raise the octane of 87 or 89 octane to around 91 or 92, but that it has little or no effect on 93. your track doesn't sell some race gas you can mix in?

Dont waste your money, it only raises the Octane .000004 or something stupid. do some research on this one, its not worth it!

Rather than running that worthless caca, just go down to the paint store and get a gallon of xylene or toluene and mix that in with your 4 gals. of 93. Since xylene is about 130 octane, you'll end up with 5 gals. of 100 octane fuel.

its 116 not 130. I did that for a year, it actually works great.

becareful when you choose an octane booster. most of them say will raise octane this many points, like 6 points. well thats only 0.6 higher octance on about 8 gallan tank.
the NOS octance booster is the only one i see that says it raises octane by 60 points, or 6 octane on an 8 gallon tank.
it has worked out GREAT for me. i ran that stuff on 8-10 gallons with 25psi exactly 6 times. datalogged it with no knock.

but i would not raise boost to 25psi without a fuel pump!

xylene toluene

A) they sell xylene and toluene at paint stores?
B) is it really safe to simply add it in proportion to your gas and run accordingly? or is there a method?

sounds like a neat fix.
