I'll take a shot at this one. If you're standing next to your driver side fender look straight at the filter, I put the bracket onto the lower right side bolt (if looking from fender area). I removed the old air filter housing mount bracket and bolted the other side of the BR Bracket onto one of the housing holes. Kind of hard to explain I can try to take a picture if you don't understand.

you dont even have to use the bracket, because its not going anywhere (moving around). I ran my 03 without the bracket for 3 years without a problem.

IMO I would think the filter would get banged up, thus why they give you the bracket...

You dont need the bracket. I didnt put it in with mine. If you install it snuggly it wont go anywhere...

Seriously, man, come on. This is so simple. It didn't take any time to figure this out when putting mine on. Plus, we've had threads in the past that already asked for AND ANSWERED this. It goes underneath right on one of the stock airbox mounts.

It will work fine without the bracket... but with the bracket it makes tightening down tbolt clamps on the turbo size of the intake a lot easier. I drilled my own hole for the bracket because I wanted to move the filter location a bit.

the combination of a tight fitting BOV/RECIRC line and good clamp to the turbo inlet keep mine right where it should be.
