Yeah, I had this issue also. The light was just a nuisance but no driveability issues here either. It came on the hwy at 80mph one time, changed plugs gapped at .25 also, light came on 3 days later...then went off 3 days later and never returned! This was about 3 months ago! Maybe the plugs kicked in after a while, I dunno.

I had this problem last year. It alwasy happened in the morning on the way to work. I would be accelerating and all the sudden bam! It was like hitting the brakes, like the ECU just quit giving gas for a half sec. Then back to normal and about a minute later throw the SES. Then at cruising around 80mph it did it a lot too. There were quite a few Mitsu TSBs on this. The crank angle sensor is the culpruit. I went and had the dealer flash and went from having the SES every week to almost a year without one. I also got tuned by Al after the dealer flash and still no problems. That was last August. In your case though, it very well could be in your tuning there. Not sure exactly what they change in the ECU programming during the latest dealer flash but it does the trick.

It is time to replace plugs anyways...might as well get it done. It won't hurt. It's good that your random cylinder misfire code (P0300) went away.

Same problem here, many things can cause it. First off there is a problem with it in the computer that mitsu can maybe take care of, and sometimes it can be takin care of with a flash, but clutches and high lift cams can also affect it
