try Invidia they're full 3". my N1 is not that loud but some say it is. Invida also sells catbacks w/ fatter mufflers (G200)....they're cheap, fits ok, and good performers!

they also have full 3" core resonator in midpipe and the tip extends beyond bumper so it won't burn it!

i recently installed the G200. You can find photos and info in the shine & show threads...

I am using it along with a 3 inch perrin downpipe and a 3 inch UR HFC. The sound is almost stock, especially in the cabin. From the outside you can clearly hear aftermarket sound but with the volume turned down... i didn't even tried the buffler on, it doesn't need it...

It is all the way 3 inch, no tappering/bottlenecking anywhere... and it has a very cool and HUGE titanium blue tip...

the cossie cams will be installed tomorrow morning along with head studs and a custom tune...

Tomorrow we will know what 90% of the IX owners want to know. What gains the cossie cams can give on a Stage 1 IX with 93 octane pump gas...

IS the invidia quite and is it a full 3 inch?
If you are refering to the N1 style, it is full 3". I have the DP, TP, and catback.

Testing at a 45 degree angle to the tip 20" back the sound level is 85 db at 900 rpm idle and 95 db at 4500 rpm, with the silencer in. With it out, the numbers are 95 db at idle, and 104 db at 4500 rpm. On the EVOgreen/20g-LT the silencer costs me 3 lbs/min airflow at ~24 psi tapering to 21, which is 20-30 whp. When I take the silencer out, I get ticketed immediately, with it in, I've never been pulled over for it, but I get mean mugged every now and again.

Hope that helps. If it doesn't, consider it a free donation to the archives...

I like my RMR. Its the most quiet true 3" ( 2 resonators and a muff) and is still too loud for me. I don't think you can have your cake and eat it too. I replaced a Greddy Ti with the RMR and am happier. Car didn't get slow or anything.

GSC's new exhaust definatly fits the "quiet, free flowing" criteria.

here you go.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=246423

It's not "stock" quiet, but definatly a whole lot quieter than most.

Replace the cat with 2.75" delete pipe, replace downpipe with a 2.75", keep your catback but remove (or open) internal muffler flapper valve and taper the catback (to delete) flange with a carbide dremel to allow a smooth 2.75 to 2.3" transition.

Cheaper too and probably just as free flowing as any other settup out there
