This is interesting to find out tho. i have heard that anything after 8/04 is considered an 05 tho. soo... i dunno.

I have the 10.5 hotside installed. top end felt much better than before i did the install. i have an 04

 

i couldnt find it. is in the tire pressure sticker?

 

mine was built june 04...so the 05 rs came out during august and the june 04's were considered the late model??
any real info would help

It will be on the compressor/cold side of the turbo. Take the inlet hose off and look at the name badge for the turbo on the right side of the compressor housing, the side closer to the engine block. Should say TD05HR-16G6-9.8T on the second of three lines of numbers if you have the 9.8 turbo.

 

Quick question, anyone knows any good 10.5 hotside? I mean it can fit on original EVO 8, 03 and next time if I do update my car, it can stay with the new turbo charge. Please send link or brand name. I appreciate that!

makes you wonder how may late model 04 owners took off there 10.5 (thinking it was 9.8) and bought a 10.5 for it....haha
