I REALLY hope this is indeed the problem.. and its not something worse, or more complicated.. I can't wait to get back home.. and jack it up to find out for sure..

Even cheaper and quicker way to fix it than buying an aftermarket brace, if this is indeed the problem, is to just put a couple thick washers between the brace and the frame. This will drop it anywhere from 1/16" to 1/2" depending on what washers you use. This is what I have done on my car. It does not affect the function or rigidity of the brace at all.
