New FMIC, boost spike is higher, redline boost is lower

I have read through any thread that is remotely relevant to this, but my question is simple. The initial boost spike is now higher with the AMS front mount by around 2 psi according to the boost gauge (24 psi to 26 psi), but the taper towards redline is lower by about 2-3 psi (used to be 24 psi now it's 21). If everything I've read is correct this is somewhat normal, or I have a boost leak which will be determined before the weekend is over. What's the general consensus??

I can turn up the boost no problem, but my spike may be over 28 psi...( I have alky injection, so no big deal, but damn... 28 psi seems like a lot.) What do you think??

Do you have a way to monitor knock? Because 28# seems dangerous, but I'm not an Alky user.
