Stock BOV was leaking. The Tial is not. Likely need to have the car retuned since you fixed a boost leak...

Stock BOV's start leaking around 26-28psi. I just about guarantee you yours was leaking. The tuner had to increase WGDC to make the boost he wanted. Now, you installed a Tial, and it's not leaking, and your car is overboosting.

Interesting. It sucks that I have to put this pov into the parts bin because my tuner wants 400 for a retune..

I'll chime in and say letsgetthisdone is also correct. I had my X tuned at 30psi and I can assure my stock DV was leaking. I threw a Tial QR on with a 6psi spring and I did a 75% throttle pull and my boost spiked to 33psi. You need a retune

wait a few months, get some more mods and install the qrj then. at least the $400 will be worth it at that point

Doubtful. 99% sure the issue is he has a dv/bov that actually holds boost now and does need a ton of wastegate duty cycle to make it work
