Do i need a softer spring in the TIAL bov turbo is surging..

I have a tial bov with a 11 psi spring and was wondering why my car is surging under partial throttle in 3rd and 4th gear. Another memeber on this site suggested that i change the spring to a 9 psi will this help my problem , cause what i have heard from others is that it will only change my idle .. ???

What does your car vacuum at idle? The spring you need is determined by that. For example a 9 psi spring would be good for a car with around 18 inchs of vacuum.

Man, come on...so many threads. Haven't we told you that there is absolutely NO REASON for you to be running that BOV on the stock turbo? It's not the spring you're using - it's the wrong BOV!!! Plus, any strong BOV will do that with partial throttle. Don't try to boost with partial throttle - that's what happens! It's like a neverending disaster with you these last few days, and you seem to have ignored the 10+ posts telling you not to use that BOV.

Changing springs will not help. I went all the way down to a 7psi spring (as low as Tial makes) and althought it got a little better, the surging still makes the car all but undriveable anywhere except the dragstrip.
