The biggest revelation I got today that simplifed things for me in PMs to Scott is that the "psssh" sound occurs with the engine off. That eliminates a whole lot of variables, doesn't it?

Everyone my friend drove my car today and told me that it was something called a BOV???? lol I am just kidding.

Anyways...ACTman thanks for all of your help. I did have buddy come over today and the squeaking is coming from inside the tranny when i push the clutch in. You had said that it could be the TOB was not greased enough....do you think this could be my problem. If it is, is it something that I can grease through the access plate.

No I thought posssibly the other sound was the release bearing, but squeaking usually is from a pivoting action like where the slave cylinder rod meets the arm, not so much from a sliding action. Good luck trying to lubricate anything inside the bellhousing without removal. I am sure the EVO is probably worse than most cars when it comes to access.
