It's also VTA, although it's adjustable from full VTA to full recirc. Since there's no reason to VTA whatsoever (any amount hurts performance), then you pay a lot of money for functionality you don't need. You can pay less than half for the JDM MR DV or just pay less for a Forge RS DV that is adjustable for spring stiffness, not adjustable for how much you want to VTA.

Hey Warr,

I have the Forge unit and with the mods in my list, would you suggest I should keep the adjustment knob fully tightened?

Thanks.

I would think you probably won't want it tightened all the way. But there's no way to tell from my end really. You just have to test it out and see what works best for driveability and performance.

To the OP, I say go for a Forge unit as well. I accidentally got the older version instead of the new RS, and it's still a great piece. I'm very happy with it, and only get flutter under limited situations. I didn't even change out the spring or anything.

If you REALLY want to hear that famous psshhh, then get Buschur's cone filter and adapter. You'll definitely hear it then. You would even hear your stock DV with it. Just don't go buying one of those really expensive intakes because the $:hp ratio is horrible. Of course you are a self admitted ricer, so maybe you'd want the Injen intake and UICP. It's really shiny.

If you just gonna boost near stock levels (23-20lbs), get the JDM MR/Stock IX DV. Its great for all the reason Warr said, plus its OEM and I bet a dealer or cop wont even notice it.

If you need to run higher boost, I would say the Forge unit. I've never personally used it, but have heard many great reviews.

Actully I have NEVER heard of anyone having a problem with either of the two DV I mentioned above.

Basically, Warr has it right.
