Hi all

I am having a problem with boost pressure cutting out at 5000 rpm from 3rd gear onwards... I am running an Evo 6 on stock turbo at 1.1 Bar and have done nothing to the car since the problem started except stick HKS plugs on there...

My boost contoller stopped functioning (also a week ago when i tried to reset low/high pressure) as well and I am holding steady at 1.1 bar whether I switch between low/high boost or switch the controller off altogether.

I checked air filter to make sure its clean, looked checked BOV to make sure I wasnt losing pressure there, replaced a leaky boost gauge for a new Greddy gauge, but I still cant see to isolate the problem.

Any recommendations here would be greatly appreciated.

 

Do a boost leak test.Boost leak test is a must on FI car.

 

I will try that tonight, but after doing some research on the web, I am starting to think it maybe related to fuel cut out... I cannot seem to isolate the problem.

I am getting a modified turbo, fuel regulator and bored fuel rail installed tonight so lets see if this fixes the problem after I run a boost leak test.
