CEL with Catback?

This might sound like a dumb question but here we go...

Does the CEL only come on with a turbo-back exhaust or is it triggered by a cat-back exhuast system as well?

I'm confused because it sounded like some people had some problems with their CEL coming on with their catback but I thought a catback only goes to the cat but doesn't actually replace it??

Thanks all

You shouldn't get a CEL for a catback since it doesn't replace the cat.

its triggered when you replace the stock cat with a test pipe. you can buy a high flow cat and it will not trigger the cel.
you can get a turbo back, but as long as you have a cat, the cel will not be triggered.
