Exclamation ECU Wiring Harness Update!!!

Ok guys.. Although the bad news about my project was that its not practical to build the item in small quantities.. I have great news to go along with it..

http://www.arumatik.com/onetouch/onetouch.html

This link (translated through babelfish)

http://babelfish.altavista.com/babel...Fonetouch.html

What is this? Fields "One Touch Connector" (IE Extension wiring harness)

The correct part number is CN-4 (or CN-04) which is the correct part for the Mitsubishi Evolution VII

Odds are this will work for our EVO 8's... And the price is 8500yen, which is approx $75(US)

Here's the big problem.. HOW IN THE HELL Do we order this?

Jack

Turns out www.skunk2.com (Group-A Motorsports) is the sole distributor in the USA.. I contacted them today, with the correct part number, they will get back ASAP, I told them I'd be interested in either becoming a distributor, or a group buy.. However you can contact them directly and ask them for "Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII" One Touch Connector, Fields part # CN-4

Hope this helps you guys out.. If you guys are unsure if the cable will work, give me a few days.. If they have one in stock, I'm going to have it overnighted to verify it works...

Coincidentally this part appears to share connectors with the Acura NSX (94-99)

Thanks for the update and following up after it was looking dismal. Let us know what you discover and whether or not you will become a distributor. After all your work you deserve the business before skunk2.com IMO.

If you guys need numbers to back up your case, this particular harness will fit many other Mitsubishis, Hondas and Mazdas. I think the only reason they don't sell better is because nobody knows they exist.

Thanks for the info.. Actually when I was researching fabricating my own, I came across quite a bit of information about these connectors (and ECU Housings) being shared across several Japanese car manufacturers.. Also when I was researching the Field website when I found it.. I noticed quite a few cars shared this part#, not just mitsus.. But MANY mitsu's produced after 1995.. Not to mention some early subarus, many hondas (Acura NSX, and a few others with B13A motors), and the others you mentioned.. In the case of Skunk2, their primarily a Honda tuner parts vendor... so I spoke to them in their language, offered them some models of hondas that shared this part #.. I did call them again today, however they have not called me back yet, hopefully they should soon..

You are absolutely right.. If it took this much research to finally find something, and find a company who sells them. Then its pretty obvious that its availability and that most people don't know that they exist, or hadn't spent a significant amount of time really researching it.. It took me several weeks to get to this point, and the intense research was only a result of my unsuccessful attempts at aquiring the parts to produce my own version of a "ECU extension Harness"
