Removing transmission

I have been looking on here all day for a thread that had pictures or a link of how to drop your transmission. There are ones without pictures but i didnt know if there were any with pictures. My syncro's are shot and the dealer wont replace them of course because im modded so im gonna drop the tranny and send it out but i was gonna see if i could do it myself instead of having to pay someone to take it out for me. Any help would be appreciated i know enough about engines to be able to take out the transmission i think but thanks guys.

Please have people helping you. The last thing I need to read is about a tranny falling on someone.

Ya, matter of fact, I paid $300 labor fee just to install transmission. I suggest dont mess with it, mind as well just pay the labor.

I just took out my old T-case and installed a new one. There is no way I'm messing with my transmission.

could i have a shop somewhere take it out for me and let the car sit in the shop until i get it back from where ever i decide to send it and put it back in for me, does anyone know anywhere in MD that does that and how much it would be. If you guys dont recommend me doing it, i just need to get this figured out i want a smooth shifting tranny, i dont remember what its like to shift without hearing a nasty crunch and grind sound

Just check with one of the Dcevoclub sponsors, I'm sure one of them could work with you.

believe it or not, its easier to rebuild the tranny with new syncros than to take out the transmission. my evo was the first tranny i ever rebuilt, and it worked out perfectly.
