Factory guage package
Does anybody have the guage package in there car?
What color does it light up in the dark?
Also do you think it is worth it?

It lights up Amber I think.. And No, its not worth the $400 or so.. you can easily purchase and mount a mechanical boost gauge.. An oil temp gauge is useful too.. but not worth the money for what your getting.. Unless they say its "Plug and Play" that is you just plug it into a harness already there.. However I have yet to find the connector for that harness if thats the case..
FWIW this is just my personal opinion..

you can certainly make up a panel VERY easily.. You can get 2 2" gauges in the stock cubbyhole (though I'm not intending to do that) If you remove that garnish, you can unscrew the pocket from it from the back.. With it removed, you can easily screw a piece of alum, carbon fiber, plastic, or acrylic in its place and easily get 2 Gauges and 2 toggle switches in there.. Anything else may take a little trickery to fit, but Its certainly a good easy place to work with. You can also fit 3 2" gauges if you get the CD changer garnish (Trim piece) and make a standard din (2.25 x 6.5 approx) sized panel..
The kit comes with a din replacement panel, for the cubby hole. What, I plan on doing is to move the radio down to that new din panel and have the guages up top. I have the complete kit now and I will install it and take pics when I get my car back from the body shop.
I'd like to see that.. Not so much the gauges, but the radio relocated.. I prefer to have the upper din opening available for some instrumentation (I have a boost gauge on my steering column), so I'm thinking EGT Gauge, and mounting my s-afc in there..

Option2 here on the board is almost done with his gauge project. He took a quick snap shot and the radio is now located on the bottom.

Looks good! Did you use the factory piece for the CD changer to remount the radio or did you make your own? The Factory guages, while they look nice, are not worth $400+. they look nice but they are too small and way out of useful line of sight. The last thing I want to do is look at the base of the console to see if I'm at full boost when an Evo is covering ground at that kinda rate. I figure that most people who buy them will be getting a good A-pillar mount with the normal combination (boost and Fuel Mix Meter (forgot the bloody name of the thing). Those are a quick glance away and more practical.
The factory guages are pretty much a plug and play deal with a few panels needing to be pulled away long enough to run a wire harness throughthem but they are not difficult to install. We have a black one that they just put the guages, instrument panel cover (save your money, it looks stupid), a competition strut tower brace (nice looking, same as stock. Pics available if you like), and and they have a turbo timer that should be in today or tomorrow. From what I gather it did not take long at all to get the new guage set in.
As with anything else around here, pics available on request.

Don't get me started!
My dealer has been great until last night.
I was scheduled for an oil change(3000miles) and meter kit install.
My car did not move for 35 minutes.
I borrowed a dealer car to get dinner.
When I returned the service manager went into a big explaination as to why he could not install the meter kit.
He said, "look at all these wires and tubes and parts."
Then he told me to schedule an appointment when the Evo tech mechanic would be there. Why the f**k wasn't he there when I scheduled the first time??? He also told me to wait for my next oil change so I would not lose oil when they pulled the plug. It is not my fault they screwed up.
He said it would take a long time to install the first one.
Did he think these gages worked by wireless technology?!?
This is the same guy who gave me a blank stare when I mentioned Ralliart! They have a Ralliart leather jacket (size large) in the showroom and the service manager has never heard of Ralliart?!?
I don't want to **** them off because I will need service for the next couple years.
I am scared to go back now and it's not like there are many dealers around here.
This sucks

The first one was a bit of a pain for the techs here but not for any reason other than figuring out the best ways to run the wiring harnesses without interference or chaffing them. Sounds like they didn't know what was going on or some sort of scheduling conflict. Sorry to hear about it. We did the first guage set on a car that is for sale, not owned, partially to get the experiance out of the way and minimize the time needed to turn around a customer car. Of course, the simple fact that we all wanted to know how they looked had *nothing* to do with it.. uhm.. at all. ,
Unfortunately as much of it is plug and play the entire system is not and still needs a few things tapped at pre-determined spots. This is one time it's easier to have a lift for things like the oil sender, etc. I'm going to check and see if the harness is long enough to be used on the top stack where the radio is.
Btw, for those who have not seen it yet I'll bounce a picture of the guages to the site.
