Need help!! uncontrollable boost

So here's the deal.. Just got a new clutch installed on my 03' Evo VIII. Test drove the car and when I got on it, the car just kept boosting (>2.0 bar) untill it couldn't handle it. Lots of popping. I tried turning the ABC valve down all the way and still no difference. ABC valve was supplied with the UTEC. UTEC was tuned for 21 psi (1.4-1.5 bar). I checked all vacuum lines and they were in place. I'm Running stock turbo and I don't want to blow anything up. I tried running it with stock computer in and same result. Suggestions from the shops were possibly the spring in the stock wastegate is shot. They said it sounded like it opened up too soon especially in 2nd gear. Any suggestions please help!!! If you need more info, let me know. Thanks

Check all of your vac lines if you havent already, if your missing the input to your BC youll boost like that.

I think something must have been unhooked because a clutch wouldnt raise your boost

checked all vac lines. They said the clutch is able to handle more power now and it isn't losing any power that may have occured with the stocker. So they think all this new power it can handle may have busted the spring in the wastegate. Could it be a faulty auxiliary boost control valve?? Maybe the solinoid isn't working right. I dont even know if those are possible problems

there are no holes in the vac lines for the MBC, it happened to me and the line split right down the side. Maybe the BC is shot, Which BC are you using? my guess would be the BC first then explore the wastegate problem.

I would throw a vac line straight to the wastegate, it should open about 14-16 lbs in that configuration. If it doesnt open then you have a faulty WG more than likely, If it does open, move backwards from there, MBC's, Boost solenoids (sp?), etc...

Also what is your vacuum at idle ?

a wastgate spring wont brake like that, if it wasnt broke before they did the trany i doubt it would brake because of the extra power like they told you

My buddies Car was doing that after some work. The line that connects to the little nipple on the turbo outlet pipe was disconnected. Mistubishi even missed it!! We found it until we tore most of the front end off.

Kaluah,

I have been present when Ray( rraulston) had replaced a few clutches. I found out that the stock electronic solenoid sit directly in the path when you are working on installing and or removing the clutch assembly. My upper intercooler pipe sits just tenthn of inches from the electronic solenoid neeples and I already broke it once.

Check your stock electronic solenoid niples and make sure one of them is not broken otherwise you might be getting excessive boost. It takes a tiny hit to break those tiny neeples.
