exedy clutch problem...i think?

ok, so I went to the track tonight, everything was fine while driving there, car shifted normal. I made one pass and when i went down the return lane, it got really hard for me to put the car in gear. I had to force it to go in gear, it didn't grind or anything but it was almost like i was being locked out. (this is every gear that it's hard to go into) As I'm driving home, i notice that when i come to a stop and start off in 1st gear, i only have to lift the clutch pedal about 1/8" off the ground before it grabs, it was never like this before. Reverse is impossible to go into, if I try it just grinds instantly.

Did i screw something major up? I was thinking maybe the pedal adjustment might have came lose? I checked but it seemed tight to me. It feels as if the clutch isn't disengaging. I can have my clutch pedal pressed in all the way and the car still moves a little bit like it's in gear (almost like an automatic). Sorry if this post was confusing but I tried to explain it the best that I could. It sounds like it's something with the clutch and not the tranny I hope, maybe throw out bearing? Any input or advice would be helpful.

adjusting the pedal height should fix the problem.

no clutch burning smell, installed the clutch about a month ago along with the rest of my setup, changed drivetrain fluid with the recommended fluid in the owners manual. I never changed the original throw out bearing since the car only had about 15k miles with the original bearing and it seemed ok. Could a bad throwout bearing be causing this? The car accelerates fine and the clutch doesnt seem to be slipping. Just cant get the damn thing into gear

Do you have brass shifter bushings?

Sometimes those will bind up if unlubed / improperly lubed etc... just a simple thought for you,

Twin disc clutches in cerametallic form DO NOT SMELL like the organics. You will not get the burnt clutch smell. Don't think that you are in the clear.

I get the same thing on my stocker. It seems to happen when i shift too high in 1st. I second that it could be air in the system or overheating the clutch, but it could be also a number of the other things already mentioned. Keep us posted as to what the problem is.

I would recommend he do a process of elimation first, doing the easy ones first, then jump to the flywheel bolts if he hasn't found the problem before ripping open the tranny. superfly is also correct, but I expect there would be more of a problem before this.
