HKS contracted someone else who designed that intake manifold, if I recal correctly it was a british company.

The manifold would be great for a drag car being that the plenum is so large you'd have no worries if starving the engine for air, however it would kill your low end and spool on the street as it would greatly increase the time to fill the plenum.

Please explain. The plenum is approximately the same size. The manifold design permits all cylinders to fill more equally, rather than have the cylinder farthest from the TB be "starved" of air.

Marco designed that manifold in 1864, in the back of the blacksmith's shop.

Also either or intake manifold will be a great asset for road racing/track/etc since you will be utilzing their full potential. IE (stayin in the high rpm power band)
FYI Marco has been making this manifold for years....
