Note that the stock road going car (EVO VIII MR GSR) only put down a 13.1 quarter. The cars in the 12's are the RS lightweight rally versions. Very different car to the road car. Fully stripped out and caged race car.

Given that i live in Australia, the land of metric, I can help here. The quarter mile is 400 meters. So they give you a 400m time and then nail it for 1000 metres. For reference, a mile is approx 1500 meters.

my car went 12.8 stock on stock 17s.. and 13.201 stock w/18inch volks the 60' on the 12.8 was a 1.6 on the 13.2 was a 1.81

the 18's are way harder for me to get rolling quickly. The only mods are the suspension at this time. i also have an 03.. you call can call bs.. but it happend..

maybe my tracks timers are broken though. I ran some pretty crazy times in my msp also tho

launching at 7k on street tires just causes a ton of wheel spin. Not the most effcient way to launch. No way you will be getting a 1.6 unless you using some DR's. People break the tcases because they try to find that middle ground between spinning and no spin. No spin = worst on tcase IMO

Is this always the case when going from a 17" to an 18" rim. Will a car usually slow down almost a 1/2 second? What do you attribute this to? Is it the different tires? The Volks are lighter than the stock rims....I don't understand.
