Clips of JDM evos launching

friends ive asked if someone has ruined there transfercase or tranny on the stock clutch but nobody seems to have done it!
ive stated in the past that my car doesnt have a revlimiter while launching it,ive done more then 50++passes in the 1/4mile and i always launch at 7000rpms and nothing has happend yet!

this following clips show how the japanese launch the evos at well over 6500rpms++ releasing it quickly and they got a 12.7sec on the quartermile or 400meter mark on a stock mr 6speed so is it cause they launch higher or what??

please check the links:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PEhL3K6pdeU

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBka-8ViOEU

i will add more links of the races where they show the revs and the feet on the clutch and how they release it!

I broke a t-case with a stock clutch , had +/-40 runs on it . They just sprayed VHT down on the track and i got BAD wheel hoop and that = broken spider gears in the front diff . so it can be done...

this good info would you tell me what tire pressure you had when this happen to you?

i think wheel hop is caused by low tire presurre! this rules out that the stock clutch broke your transfer cause if you had wheelhop then thats the cause.

There shifting every gear at 7500-7800, haha.

I don't know the japs drive these cars crazy. I was also watching some videos similiar to what you posted and they were downshifting to about 7500!

yep thats how they do it! see how fast the stock mr 6speed is it makes a 12.7sec the 1/4mile which is much faster then the usadmodel i tell you it must be the way they launch! if the usdevo didnt have that revlimiter it would be much faster!

but you gotta remember they run a higher octane which means higher boost which means more power more speed less chance of detonation. Holla JDM

^^^na they have 100ron which is 94pump gas in the USA my owners manual states that i can use 95ron or more and it also states that when using 100ron you get the 280ps horsepower that the factory claims!
i still want to see a usdevo make a 12.7sec the 1/4mile and dont forget that they did this time not in a track with vht material which in my opinion that 12.7sec could be lowered!

32/33psi IIRC

I think 9 out of 10 times wheel-hop will be the cause of a dead T-case no matter the clutch .

yep this is true do you think that if you would have had more air in the tires you would of avoided that wheelhop??

I dont think higher psi would helped me , I was driving out of the hole too hard (aka to much rpm and droping the clutch) and got alot of whelel spin .

But like I said it my fault , I kept my foot down when I *KNEW* (a "what the hell" moment) I should lifted when i felt the frist signs of hop .
