check to make sure your old coils have good contact with the ignition. my car wouldnt go past 5k rpm all of a sudden even after new plugs. pull it out and check the ends...use a flat screw driver and split the ends so it would have more contact. bascially make the ends wider in diameter so when you plug it in it will have better contact. see if that works

Well, I installed the new coils, plugs, and wires, and the problem is still there. When I drive it, it drives fine during normal driving, but when I get on it at all, it bucks and misfires bad. It almost feels like fuel cut, but I don't know why that would be, because nothing has changed and the car used to run fine. This is pissing me off, so I think I'll just take the car to RRE and see if they can fix it.

also make sure MAFS is ok. I've seen a lot of cars act like your with a bad maf. Try wiggling the maf connector with the car running.

I'll check for loose couplings in the morning, that could be possible. As for the MAF, I am running EMS and I don't have a maf. It does however seem electrical related, but I can't wiggle anything and find it because it idles and runs fine under no load. Thanks for the replys guys.

I figured out what was wrong. I had a bad connection on the MAP sensor for the EMS, and at higher rpm's the vibration caused the connection to lose contact, making the car misfire. This means I will have brand new OEM plug wires and coils for sale.

I was fixing to suggest something with the AEM ems. My autronic would randomly do this type of thing once in a blue moon. I wonder if that was the case. Glad you solved it!

^ Yeah, I actually called road/race to make an appointment, and as I was explaining the problem it kind of clicked that I probably had a loose connection. The guy at road/race asked if I soldered the connections or used crimp connectors, and when I told him crimp connectors he said he would bet that was the problem. I'm glad I figured this out, it's nice to drive my car again.
