Let me be straight with you. You said that you heard that HKS has the biggest O2 housing right? Well, me and this entire forum want to know where did you heard that HKS has the biggest o2 housing.
By saying that HKS has the biggest 3" housing that means that is bigger than Works and Invidia o2 housing.

As far as I know Invidia and Works has the biggest o2 hosuings. I particulary researched and waited about 14 months before getting the Works 3" 02 housing and I was also one of the first customers to buy one and install it because only people on the waiting list were given the first calls.

As far is production, Works made the first true 3" hosuing followed by Invidia a few months after that. As far is HKS, I never heard them making a 3" housing.

Why would you get an Ebay 02 with no support bracket when I got my Invidia for $200?

I dont know why anyone would ever buy these other ones other than because they think because it costs more ... it must be better WRONG!
I am with you on that one. I spent $400 on mine and unfortunately I had to take the risk because no one ever tested the conclusive results on the Works o2 housing at the time I bought mine.

Me being who I am, I do my own testing and stuff but yeah, I totally agree with you on that one. The Ebay put some good power.

You only really need the support bracket if you are running a weak tubular manifold. If you are running the stock cast one, you do not need it.

Exactly and most people are using weak manifolds (megan, dc, etc...) Not everyone is running a Shearer or Fullrace stock manifold.

Well Id definitly say more people are running stock than anything else. People SHOULDNT be wasting money on Maxford or Megan manifolds IMO.

BTW I have the DC manifold... over 35k on it with the Ebay 02

The O2 housing sold by HKS is part of their "GT Extension" kit.

Here's a link: http://www.hks-power.co.jp/products/...ort/ex/ex.html

Scroll down to see it.

Dimensions in the table:

"Main": 60mm (2.36")
"By-pass": 58mm (2.28")
"Front": 70mm (2.76")

I think 'front' is actually the exit diameter of the O2 housing - as in front pipe diameter.

Yeah, your is lasting, mine didn't. It cracked shortly after install. Maybe I was running more boost and heat than normal.

So basicly the claims of the topic originator are busted... the diameter of the o2 hosuing is only 2.76". I had my reservations when someone claimed that HKS had the biggest o2 housing otherwise we would already heard something on this forum.

Carlos do you happen to have a picture of where your manifold cracked?

Thanks for the link! That looks like just a bad weld. That is NOT a stress point for the manifold though, so that can be addressed. I was thinking it was a crack from using a non supportive 02 like the Ebay one but that would have caused a crack near where the runners come of the head flange. Hmm Im going to go check my manifold to make sure I dont have that same stupid crack. I heard DC realized thats a shotty weld and you can get a new one now. If my manifold cracks, Ill fix it at this point, my car is freakishly fast and I dont want to change anything

Yeah, I ended getting the DC sport Header version 2 from the DC sport factory as a warranty exchange item but I never install it because I was still upset of the first header.

Did they make you send back your old one BEFORE they sent you a new one? I was hoping theyd just send me a new one because I do have the older one. I swore I could have seen a slight crack in the same exact place but I brushed it off a couple months ago. Ill check later today. Either way, my car is gonna be down for a week or so while I do the timing belt and new J.A.M. lifters so I can exchange it then, but I would like it ASAP.
