I just hope they match our interior color and not just make it black...

For some reason, I thought you were talking about a 2g Eclipse A-Pillar. A Lancer (normal one) A-Pillar is the same as an Evo, just without the speaker at the bottom.

Which part number was yours Hobie? I can't seem to find it on some webpages.

So you are saying that the regular Lancer "A" pillar is the same as an EVO (other than the speaker)? Are there any single gauge pods available for the regular Lancer? Even if it is black...

Can't find the part on Auto Meter's website, but the box was clearly marked 95-99 Eclipse/Talon/Laser if I remember correctly. It wasn't 100% snug, but it fit and would be fine and look ok if it were riveted, stuck with adhesive or if you used a heat gun to bend the edges a little bit. Personally I think the heat gun would be the best approach.

99% sure it was Part # ATM-20610 from summit racing (I don't have the box with me anymore nad I don't remember where I put my invoice)...perhaps from there someone can find the Auto Meter part #. But if they're coming out with one just for the Evo, it'd probably be worth waiting a month or two for it because it means they'll probably do a full pillar replacement.

RRM/Carbontrix also have single and double pods which may fit slightly better. ...and they're CF if you're into that kinda thing.

I sent an e-mail to this company asking them to verify that it will fit the new EVO. Will keep you posted...

I recently purchased the RRM carbon fiber dual pod and without some serious modification, it will not fit. I'm returning it.

Has anyone actually tried to fit a 2g Eclipse pod on a Lancer? If you did, and it worked, you had a LOT better luck than me. It was no where close.

Yes, the Evo A-Pillar is the same as the Lancer A-Pillar. From all I've seen, the Evo A-Pillar is NOT the same as a 2g Eclipse A-Pillar.

Has anybody found an "A" pillar gauge pod for the EVO yet?

This is kind of off-topic, but does anyone know of a multi-function digital gauge that would fit in a 60mm pod? A single analog gauge is pretty limiting. It'd be cool if there were a digital gauge with the capability to display readings from a number of different sensors e.g. boost, EGT, A/F, etc. - perhaps even several at the same time.

For the record (and for those who didn't know) I got my car back and I have to apologize for the statement I made earlier. The 2g pod will fit around the column but you DEFINITELY need a heat gun to make it snug. I can only assume the RRM/Carbontrix ones are made specifically for the Lancer/Evo though, so if you want a single or dual cluster that isn't full pillar, you should be set. I'm sure you could talk to Rob or Gabe for confirmation. Again, sorry to mislead.

EDIT: Guess that's a no. ****.
