alky vs. cams
I picked up 80tq from meth and a front mount. Already had the 272's. Regardless of the power I picked up, I think you should go cams first and get used to them then meth and get used to that. Then turbo and try to get used to that
Under Boost
I agree with most of the others: go with cams first
However, while you're at it, port and polish your heads. Then, after you put your cams in and have the revived head, then add the alky as you push up your boost. After all, alky is only cooling down the charge to prevent detonation and you won't really get to that until you push things to the limit.

Cams then alky,
you don't have to worry about running out of cams...... Cams help the motor breath better so you will get even more from turning up the boost with alky after doing the cams.
I just went to 272's @-2,-1 and I love them. Picked up around 30 whp peak, but a ton of area under the curve. 5th gear 80-120 acceleration was much improved. I rairly downshift on the interstate anylonger. Makes full boost by 3750-3800 rpm.
I will probably do the evo green / 20g glt and a front mount before worrying about chemical intercooling.

No one asked what you'll be using the car for? Akly/Meth is good for short bursts of power - when you're not in boost all that often. Say for having fun on the street or for drag racing. It'll runout on a racetrack where you're in constant boost.
Whereas cams 'never run out' as it's been stated. But I gotta warn you, if you put in a set of aggressive cams with the stock turbo; you're not gonna see much gain. And you'll just be dreaming of a turbo upgrade very soon! Prepare to spend once you crack open that head, it's hard to stop (but it'll be fun)!
thanks for all the replies guys! the answers really turned around. ill be waiting til spring to do anything, dont need anymore power to get around in the snow. and Boom, as far as what ill be using the car for; just for fun on the street and at the 1/4. I may start doing some auto-x but that wont be til after a suspension upgrade. the cams will be 272/272 which i dont see as too aggressive and a turbo upgrade will follow not long after. and it will most likey be the new 20LT/green whatever ya wanna call it. Probably spring break ill jus drop the car off at Buschur's and have the cams, springs / retainers and maybe a port job like mentioned and a new t belt. so yeah its gonna get pricey. but ya gotta pay to play right? thanks again!
