Soft spring will suffice.

Hard spring will boost 24-26psi minimum spike at the controller's lowest setting.

BTW: That is the most ridiculous statement I have ever heard in your sig. I don't know whether to laugh at it or just shake my head.

Thanks for the input, Scott.

I share your sentiments on the quoted material in the sig

Unless you get a Electronic Boost controller that will Eliminate the taper. We have tuned 2 Evo 9's now that will hit 22 psi peak and hold 22 psi to 7500 RPM. One had a stock actuator, one had a Forged upgraded actuator. Same results both cars. The EVC 6 has capabilities to eliminate taper up to 21 to 22 psi on the Evo 9's with stock turbos and stock actuators. You just have to know how to set it up.

With stock boost control or a MBC, your statement above is correct 100%.

There is no boost controller able to eliminate taper with high performance MIVEC mapping in the ECU.
