Question about 03 and 05 T CASE

Hey i tried searching but really couldnt find anything i was looking for. Can i put a 03 open diff into my 05 tcase with ACD? MY transfer case blew and im looking for a cheaper replacment.

wouldn't that be sacriligous?

I mean come on, going from a perfectly good LSD to a notoriously weak open-diff just to save a few bucks...

yeah but i can get it for 300 bucks and send it to shep to get built totaling around 1600 bucks or i can buy a whole new build t case from shep for 2700 or more depending how bad my tcase is.

no the open diff wont work in the acd t-case.
I have ACD t-case with 83 miles on it. PM me if you are interested in buying.

There are also shared oil passages, so you would at the least have to change out the tranny to a non-ACD model as well. I had considered doing this, since I tend to change trannies/clutches frquently (on the 2g), but the stock ACD drivetrain has held up so well to my abuse I can't easily justify it.
