has anyone had one go out after a short while...not from abuse like running leaded gas?

They have a very limited life span. Race fuel and methanol will kill them even faster. They fail much faster than narrow band 02 sensors. Just ask anyone who runs a dyno how often they have to change their 02 sensors on the machine. Mine lasted about 16 months with 12 months running meth.

My AEM WB went bad. Hooked up to the dyno, EMS saw faulty rich...leaned it out on bad info and blew the motor. BE CAREFUL!

they 50$ for the AEM ones, heck, just change them out every couple of years.

I ran straight avgas for 10 months before mine went out. Id imagine on regular pump they would last couple years at least.
