use stock gaskets????

use stock gaskets????

Hey guys just a question. I bought an ebay 02 housing from ss autochrome and i also bought a megan header. Can i just use my stock gaskets? Let me know i would greatly appreciate it thanks alot

Buying new ones isn't expensive, but reusing the stockers should be fine (I've done it about four times). The only one I'd buy new is the manifold gasket because it's layered and flimsier than the others. It will probably fine anyway, but if you took it apart only to find it damaged that wouldn't be fun. Be careful with the studs from 02 to Hotside because they can be pull out with the nut and get chewed up, making them useless.

stock should be fine. just check it to make sure it doesn't look too stressed out from being used.

You can reuse the stock ones, but it is usually recommended to replace gaskets. Air/exhaust leak = power loss.

Yes, stock are alright. But i always get new gaskets when i take those things off. Just a safety thing and it gives me one less doubt that i have when driving my car
