i have a greddy type s in my evo as well as in my talon...
same bov but totally different sound...
in my talon a loud whistle
but in my evo a loud fluttering wooosh...

It's normal to hear the flutter noise at low rpms/low load.
When I had mine, it made the whhose sound, then a sharp whistle.

I had my screw set about 1/2 way in, so maybe like 6 or 7 threads were still sticking out.

 

Fluttering will also happen if you have it installed backwards. Make sure the outlet is going into the turbo inlet pipe. A couple people have made that mistake already in here.
