We have had a megan installed for a few years. It has held up well, it is just now loosing its purplish look and developing a small bit of rust in sporatic locations. No leaks as of yet. Performance was noticable when installed.

I've had it for two years and just recently took it off. It held up great with no leaks. I would definitely ceramic coat it because it'll discolor within acouple of months. Performance wise, I'm not sure if there were any real differences. What I did notice about the manifold is that the tube diameter is actually small than stock.

I have dyno'd this manifold vs. stock...it makes like 4-5 whp max in the high rpms

I don't reccomend using these equal-length style manifolds with stock turbo's....I would def. reccomend a burchur or otherwise ported stock manifold.

I find these manifolds lose torque & low-end power, as much as 8-10 whp & torque can be lost...it's not worth it at all...making your car feel flat and slower on the spool up.

Better to stay with the stock manifold.

i think that it actually made a difference (no dyno but you can feel it) DO NOT USE THE CRAPO AUTOZONE GASKETS THET SUPPLY they will leak very bad do it once wether it be new mitsu ones or reuse the old ones its better than there crap

evo6-rs2,
I would completely disagree with your post, as I have a dyno chart that shows a peek HP gain of 22 and 17 TQ, tho it is a dyno of the header & O2 housing combined which is what I'm running. Most of the TQ occured down lower in the rpm band too! I noticed a big difference in spool up & midrange, all the way up to 7800, (keep in mind I have cams) and the sound is great!

hmmm... yea, that seems like alot, the header must be doing some of it, I doubt you'd gain 22 just from the o2 !!

so all in all is it worth the $225, or just get the bushur ported stock? How much does the ported stocker add hp wise?

Just recently got an EVO with this particular manifold installed. The only problem with the vehicle, that I know of so far, is the Turbo Gasket is apparently blown. Loosing a lot of compression and the car sounds horrible. I was told by a local shop that this could have been the result of the surface of the manifold being a little rough from the factory preventing a tight seal. Anyone else run into these issues with gaskets?

If you read one of the above posts, the gasket that comes with these manifolds are horrendous. Swap in a OEM gasket and your problem will be resolved.

I respectively disagree. I've dynoed equal-lenght type manifolds (similar to the Maxford we carry) for a 5-7whp gain from about 5000RPM up with no loss on the low end. This was on a stock 16G car pushing about 1.6BAR. While the gains are not substantial (not bad for a $200 mod), we didn't see any loss on the low end, especially not after everything warmed up.

Cheers,

Gary
