megan manifold owners

Hey guys just trying to see how many people own this manifold. What kind of pros and cons have you seen with it. have you had problems with cracking or anything of that nature. and the last question what kind of power gains have you seen from it. mines going in tomorrow and pretty excited from what i can see looks like a quality product. Thanks guys

Matt

I recommend wrapping this manifold for better performance. Leaving it exposed causes engine bay temperatures to sky rocket, and the exhaust stream loses energy as well.

I had one for about a year and still holding up perfectly. I orginally bought one so I could port my stock manifold and have something in the car in the meantime so I could commute to work. Now that my stock manifold is ported, my megan is still in the car and I wont change it until it cracks or falls apart which I don't see it doing. The gains were small but definately noticeable. I also have a megan 02 housing so it may have been a combination of the two that gave me the noticeable power increase.

Did you wrap or ceramic coat yours? I've got the Megan 02 housing and header coming to me and I'm going to send the off to get Swaintec coated right away! I'm also going to have my downpipe (TTP or Perrin) coated as well. I want MAXIMUM spool up from the turbo and stay legal for SCCA street tire classing.

I HAD one...

It developed a cracks, I had them fixed. Then it developed a hole in the runner big enough to fit two fingers in..... I'm going to get the stocker ported and call it a damn day.

I think while I have the Megan on I'll get the stocker ported and ceramic coated to keep as a back up for just-in-case.
