It's not too hard if you have mechanical knowledge of the evo somewhat...
There is a great DIY in the HOW TO SECTION.

Peace

My car hits peak torque at 3500-3600rpm so it hasn't impacted my spool at all. Maybe mivec makes a difference?

The answer depends on whether or not you work for the government..

O2 housing & MR header are worth 22 peak HP and 17 ft lbs TQ when combined. Most of the TQ occurs in the low-mid range.
Here's a link to ebay for a good FMIC, this is identical to the one I bought.

You will need to buy two 3"-2.5" reducers to install it. It fits perfectly with the stock piping, but requires some fabricating if you have the Injen intake like I do.
Here's another one that will install even easier, just a tad smaller:

The same vendor also sells the uglier AMS looking one. Remember, he will bargain down $10-15 off his price!

I'm also posting a most excellent link for all your silicone piping, joiners, T-bolts, etc. best prices I've seen yet.

Stock programming for the ECU has lean spoolup. The additional heat spools up the turbo more quickly.

Very true. Vishnu runs 12.0:1 at spool on pump. You can get away with this because the timing is fairly low at that point.

As for the O2 housing, I did my 10.5HS separate from the O2. The HS was much more noticable than the O2 housing. I have since gone back to the stock O2 housing and I didn't notice a difference either way.

I'm not so sure the ebay O2 makes much of a difference. So far the only dyno of O2 housing alone was an improvement only due to increased boost. So if you like to run high boost on pump gas, it may help you out a little, but those results are only from one test vehicle.

Congrats on your nice strong pull. I wonder how much of a difference the difference in gearing between the 8 and 9 affects the HP numbers.
