JUN 264s VS HKS 280s

Just wondering between the 2 brand of cams which would give better power and spool for a 35R? I know the jun 272s are better than the hks 280s but I am looking to use the stock ecu. Just wanting to see how the jun 264s compare to the hks 280s.....

i heard that on aftermarket turbos the juns kick *** compared to everything else. if you are getting a gt35 you will see major power gains with the juns over the hks's. there is a guy on the forums that had juns and a 50 trim he always posts on the ams forum ask him what he thinks i think he got some of the best #'s out of any 50 trim evo ever.

Why would you ever replace your cams and run the stock ecu?

because you wouldn't get the full performance of the cams as if you were running with a flash.

when most people say "stock ecu", they mean a flash, piggy back etc. Stock ecu pretty much means everything other than a standalone. Or at least that's how I took the original posters statement. When it comes to cams, the really high duration/high lift cams have trouble idling on MAF equipped cars, and idle better on speed density, i.e. standalone.

They don't work/won't idle, it's that simple.

I was going to say... Now I see, I thought it was somewhat pointless if you were running a "stock/unflashed" ECU. Well with your setup you're already putting down GOOD numbers, I would have to say JUN cams you can't go wrong. I've heard of other EVO's getting as much as 60HP on a 50 trim so I'm sure you'd be getting close to that. Now I'll know when you're talking about a "stock ECU", I learn something new everyday! YAY!!!
