BP7ES Spark Plugs ???

Too many opinions on what spark plugs to use. I wanted BPR7ES or BPR8ES but none left at that store so ended up with BP7ES. Want to know if anyone else is using these plugs or should I get them out ASAP

03 with BRS4 + alky.

Thanks.

GOKOU, ngk bpr7es is in the stock heat range, it is recommended that you use bpr8es now that you are making ~100hp more than stock.

No, that isn't the difference, EvolveU. The Iridiums have IX at the end. He may actually have BP7ES, because that nomenclature does exist. He needs to have either BPR7ES or BR7ES, but realy he should be using the 8 heat range, so BPR8ES or BR8ES. I would not waste my time with the 7s when running big boost on alky - the spark will get blown out.

What are the thoughts on the stock plug then? I stepped back to the BPR7IEX (sp?) and it helped with P0300 although it may not be the best for power. Should I go back to the BPR8ES?

THanks. I'm quite sure it's BP7ES. I meant to buy BR7ES. I went with the 7 thinking that it will be okay since winter is coming.

So I'm guessing the verdict is take it out ASAP ???

If I recall the BPR7ES/8ES is a copper based plug where cold startup and drivability will be lost with what these plugs have to offer.

I've never noticed any cold startup problems, and I've been using NGK coppers for 7-8 years.

You need to get 8s for the power you're making and boost you're running on alky, Gokou. Joe, I don't know your mods, so I can't answer your question.

I neither have had cold startup problems. I was only speaking what the norm is on copper based plugs.
