I am fairly certain that the boost gauge reads high. The car was mapped with detonation cans and a good knock monitor. There was nothing but Shell V-Power (97ron) in the car. After all said and done, I start using v-power racing (100ron) for additional comfort. I thought about knocklight or knock link, but my mapper says the stock ecu is really good so no need to seperately monitor knock after tuning with good knock sensors...

EGT and AFR gauges are also useful, although not direct indicators. Be careful and turn the boost up incrementally while monitoring knock activity. 2-3 degrees of knock is about max safe limit.

So it seems that you are running more boost in the dyno run with the cams in. Do you have any dyno pulls w/ cams where the boost was the same as it was w/o cams.

Thumbs up

Good numbers brother. I'm definitely going for those cams now.

PS+ We got 7 Turks in this area with Evos all modified to the teeth. One of the guys, Memo, put down 500+whp on Buschur's Mustang dyno on their stroker/gt35r kit. I think he has a 6.5TME in Istanbul. BTW, I'm from Istanbul as well.

It sounds like you have a good safe tune. And if the quality of the gasoline is consistent and the weather doesn't turn nasty hotter and you leave the boost where it's at.....then you should be o.k. The problem would be if you decided to increase boost, advance the ignition timing, or lean out the fuel map above 5000 rpm.

More power to you guys. My car is actually one of the slowest in the shop Currently, the king is a 900HP Supra followed by 2 600-700HP Evos. The Supra is sick on the roll. This past week it killed a lightly modified Hayabusa, I mean left him in the dust all the way to 200+mph. That might change soon though as one of the Evos is thinking about putting in a GT42R...

I think I heard of Memo (I think he hooks some people here with parts?), but never met him. Anyways, take care and thanks for the !

BTW, I lived in Chevy Chase for 2-years. The roads in VA are beautifull in Fall.

I think they are worth getting if you dont mind spending the money. The cosi cams are much better value than any FMIC kit IMHO

thanks for the kind words. unfortunately I am already used to the power

I was also gonna put my friends results but I think a week after putting in the cosi cams he decided to upgrade his turbo as he ran in to a good deal. last time I spoke to him he hadnt got it on the rollers after putting in the cams

sorry, I dont have any sheets at the same boost. If I woudl have to guess, I would say the cams add around 25-30hp and the rest is attributed to 0.1bar additional boost

That's because your works flash keeps stock peak trq timing = low torque compared to others.
