Took my car to the dyno today.

Finally got to take my car to the dyno today. Took it to Topspeed in GA. Firs

First run: 317hp 313tq
2nd: 315hp 306tq
3rd: 319hp 310tq

Doug told me that his dyno reads lower than most Dynojets.
He also told me to get a 02 housing and port my exhaust manifold and that should get me some more power also. I am going to do this. What do you all think?

Here is a link to the dynograph.

seems OK for a conservative mail order tune. but are you saying your car, with cams, is holding 19psi to redline? that sounds pretty high..

Well i say it hits 21psi and tapers to 19 and holds. But that is just what Doug said it showed on my boost gauge. I asked to him to look since i never really keep an eye on it when i am driving at 7000rpm....lol Doug said with a ported exhaust manifold and a 02 housing and custom tune i should be in the ballpark of 350awhp, which is what i want.

with the addition of cams and with the engine ingesting more air.........wouldn't it be harder to hold higher rates of boost with the stock turbo?

nice #'s btw!!!!

yeah u should definately let doug tune it.... he had my aem base map tune in around 5 mins....... he also got me 530 awhp on stock block with 91 octane and meth...... it was definately worth the 12 hr drive for me to get tuned by him..... nothing but great things to hear from me about doug

Al "dynoflash"told me that it looked like my boost was down about 2psi, could be due to my crappy autometer gauge not being accurate. I turned up the boost so it spikes to 23psi and then tapers and the car feels much stronger now. Is there anyway to tell by looking at my graph if my boost was low or do you think that was a assumption?

By the way thanks Al for the tip, the car feels alot stronger now.

His guess was most likely based off the fact that your peak torque was lower than your peak whp and the fact that gauges usually read high. If you went back now and dyno'd, you'd probably see around 335whp and 340wtq.

As for the SS o2 and ported exhaust manifold, those are good mods, but no way in hell they jump you to 350whp. Not sure why Doug said that - those mods don't add that much power.

You mean the statement that you'd make 350whp after adding those 2 milds parts? Yeah, I assumed with a retune, but it still wouldn't be close. Those parts don't add mega power like that. I sure wish they did...
