The IX's continue to amaze me

Here in CT today we just tuned a BR Stage II IX

Which has

Buschur Racing

3" Exhuast
BR Intake
BR Upper and lower fmic kit
MBC
Walbro pump
BR Alchy injector kit

93 pump has

Dyno Flash custom tune

The car is a super car. The Evo 8 was a great car - the IX is a super car. Jimmy, the owner of the shop who also owns a Skyline, 8 second Porsche Turbo, 600 whp Zo6 and Supra was so impressed with the test drive when we finsihed this car that he was on the phone shortly therafter to try and locate a white MR to buty for himself.

Simply put the IX is the best dollar for dollar all around fast road machine ever built.

This one was making so much tq it was really a joy

If I did not already and a 9 second Evo 8 and a STI I would have to grab one of the last IX RS's before they are all spoken for

I would love alky, but from what I have heard its a "no no" for road racing.

It sloshes around no more or less that the gas in your tank

You could even order a small fuel cell for your alchy with a built in surge trap

Methanol is $3 a gallon and one gallon would last an entire 20 minute session of road racing

Race gas is at least $5 a gallon and how many gallons do you eat up in a day ?

Those who are rich use race gas I guess ?

is that number out of the ordinary? chris from NLM has a 9 gsr with tbe/mbc/intake/lower pipe/fuel pump/alky and running 93 octane making 381whp and 383wtq and that was only on 25 psi. once he turned it up to 30 it should be close to 400 now

That's one monster high-reading dynodynamics. For the reference, Evo 8 with AMS GT35R Kit, running on AEM EMS, makes that kinda HP figures on a PROPERLY caliberated dynodynamincs.

Dyno Tune at "The Shop"
Hi everyone,
This is my first post on Evo M, and i want to comment on my experience with my custom tune at "The Shop" with AL.
This past friday I drove from RI to Ct to get my Evo 9 custom tuned. I am extremely satisfied with both my custom dyno flash as well as the service provided by "The SHOP". With only simple bolt on mods, Al was able to make 335hp off of 93 oct. gas. If anyone is within driving distance to Norwalk, i would highly recommended giving Al a call to set up a custom tune at "The Shop"!!!
If any one has any questions please feel free to PM me.

^What makes you think that the dyno isn't properly calibrated?

The dyno was factory calibrated only 3 weeks ago
