Re: Part # is MM022SD

Is that the part number for the Exedy twin disc clutch with flywheel, pilot and throw out bearings?

The Hyper Series clutches, which are integrated clutches and flywheels (both single, twin disk and triple disk versions) do not come with throw out bearings or pilot busings...only the Sport Clutches (where its a seperate clutch and flywheel) include these parts.

i searched the first part number...it says it's for Evo 7 and down. Now, to my understanding, Evo 7 and 8 clutches are not the same. anyone know for sure if these part numbers are good for the 8?

It is just like the regular WRX, and the STi. The clutches are in no way the same, but they are interchangeable. The whole assmebly that is!

What in the heck does ACT know about the EVOVII? They are a redneck American company. They only know about the EVO VIII Because it is here. The whole Exeedy Twin assmebly will slide on the EVO VIII just fine. I suspect that ACT is just saying that to keep people from buying clutches before their's comes out...I would put money on it!

Mike - well, they are wrong. If you look at the Ralliart website, the part numbers for the E7 and E8 are identical.

Yes it fits and works perfectlly. If it doesn't, I'll buy the clutch for you. Trust me when I tell you I know these parts like the back of my hand...we have been working on and dealing in Evo parts for quite some time now...long before any VII or VIII made their way here. While we are hear to sell parts, we are also here to educate everyone as much as we can, since it makes both our lives easier in the long run.

Per the Ralliart website, as well as my dealer package from them:
RACP9201S1 is the part number for the Ralliart Twin Disk Clutch for both the VII and VIII. In fact, the clutches for the V onwards are the same IIRC (In know the ones for the VI onward are interchangeable)

As for the pressure plates, they are different becuase they have different clamp loads.....the standard "Sport" upgrade for the VII clamps at 1150 kg, the one for the VIII clamps at 1250 kg.

Z1 your info on the Exedy clutches isn't totaly correct. Ogura Clutch also makes clutches that are used by CUSCO, Project U and HKS and others. They are the recognized leader in racing clutches and offer 4 plate clutches with 1500 HP ratings. They have 4 single disk and one double disk clutch with flywheels for the EVO.

True in some instances, but not for the Evo....they are Exedy units to the best of my knowledge.

I do know Ogura well and they make excellent products as well...also highly regarded in Japan, along with ATS and others.

Adam, Nice webiste and your online prices are really good. Can you let us know what a 'turn key' twin plate clutch would run. (eg - Twin plate clutch, flywheel, throw out bearing and pilot bearing. Plus anything else I might have missed.)

Evo Rosso - the site is actually on the weak side right now...we have a huge update being done right now, with tons more Evo stuff.

The full shebang with everything needed (Twin Disk clutc with integrated flywheel, pilot bushing and TO bearing would be $1599 complete with shipping.
