Best HFC for a IX with 02 bung in stock location???

OK I have searched and notced that most of the HFC do not come with a bung for the o2 sensor that comes stock on the IX cat. So is there any good quality, good flow HFC with the bung already welded in? I dont want to mess with weldign one in, so if you guys know of one please help me out.

Thanks,

Ken

I'm pretty sure the Ultimate Racing one has a O2 bung. They make a different one for the VIII and the IX, so I just figured that was the difference.

It doesn't matter as long as you have a cat-back, because then you just put the o2 in the cat-back bung. Are you trying to do an HFC with the stock cat-back still in place?

Yes, like war said. There is PLENTY of wire to reach the bung in a catback.

I already have the catback and the bung is there, but I thought I read that there is a bung in the cat AND the b-pipe on the IX???

If that is not the case where are the two sensors located on the stock car?

Ok, on all USDM Evos, there are two o2 sensors. On the VIII, there's one in the o2 housing and one in the cat-back. On IXs, there is one in the o2 housing and one in the cat. So, since all exhausts were made for VIIIs, just about all cat-backs have a bung in them already. If you put a cat-back on a IX, then you have to fill that hole with a plug, because you still have to keep your rear o2 sensor in the cat bung. If you get a cat-back and a HFC or test pipe, then you don't care if it has a bung, because you can just extend the rear o2 to the cat-back bung.

ahhhhhh.....ok gotcha....so in that case I can buy any HFC....cool....does anyone know how much slack there is in that second o2 sensor on the IX and is it ok to have it running that far toward the rear of the car??? Like is the wire going to be too close to the hot exhaust pipes?

Thanks for the responses guys.

Tony just told you there's plenty of slack. This is what all IXs have done since the IX was first released...it's old news. You're being too paranoid. =P

Enough slack you say? You could put the damn thing in the front passenger seat if you wanted too. You will definitely need to make use of some zip ties, or something more ingenious to secure the "extra" wiring when using the catback bung with an Evo IX.

However, better too much than not enough
