2. Multiple maps for pump, alky+pump, and race gas. I'm not to familiar with the Jestr flash, but with the AEM all you would need to do is upload you particular map.

3. While I have heard people complain about having the AEM on a daily driven car; you clearly state that your Evo is not daily driven.
I drive my car in a week like 2 to 4 times i feel sad when shes just sitting in the garage

good setup....add an ams intake manifold on there also, build the motor properly to rev and you will have a useful powerband from 4500-9500 as i do....just run a higher duration lower lift cam so you don't overflow the turbo and have it tappering off heavily on you in the upper RPMs and btw run a .63 GT backside with a vband welded right on the end....helps also (OH and t3 housing for sure but i know ams uses t3 setups anyway). The only thing the car will suck at is autocrossing but again you won't be doing that with 600-650 awhp anyway stroker or not. IF you do decide to drag race it and trap any higher then say 128 or so you will be happy you can go over 8000rpms.

Dont think you know everything about his setup from just reading post that where posted about this topic in the past. You have no clue. Like i said before stick to what you know.

Staying on topic are you going to reflash the stock ecu or go with a aem.
The hell? I dont think Warrtalon needs to really have first hand experience to be able to say what he said. It's common sense that a 2.0 wont spool the 35r for quite a while, which wont make it too fun to drive on the street. A stroker would help that out quite a bit, as was suggested. Why are u freaking out?

I hear you.

I barely drive my Evo due to work and other things. I do get to see it parked in my garage a couple of times a week.

That's why I have just passed 6,000 miles on my odometer in just over 14 months of ownership.

EMS or no EMS your planned setup sounds very nice.

Now I need your type of money to even fathom something similar.

Good luck.

6-speed, your AEM EMS suggestion has merit, but one thing to catch you up on is that with EcuFlash available now, we can have as many maps as we want then switch between them in minutes with a laptop. I personally have 4 separate fully custom tuned maps: street (pump+alky+26psi), auto-x (race gas+max boost), circuit (pump/race mix + alky + 26psi), and drag (race + alky + max boost). Using EcuFlash, my flash cable, and my laptop, I can switch maps whenever needed within minutes. It takes longer to boot up my laptop than it does to load a new map.

He won't make as much power on a flash as he would on AEM EMS, but he will still make pretty good power on race gas.

a 35r is going to pull like a **** from 4500 RPM to whenever you decide to shift. I don't know where people get these 7-9k RPM power band quotes from. If you drag race at all you will love it!

I have a 35r on my daily driver and its great. I recently had to put my stock turbo back on though as I was trying to diagnose a boost issue. I don't like having the stock turbo again, the power band feel so small. You have a big lump of TQ from like 3k-5000 RPM and then it falls on its face.

With the 35r you start to feel the pull @ 3k RPM and it does not stop until you shift, its much more linear IMO.

The infamous Built 2.0 to Storker debate...Im still undecided in this case! i want to eventually do a similar build but im still undecided as far the the stroker is concerned! i guess it really matters on how u plan on driving it like Warrtalon and evodave said...Best of luck to u with the setup SOUNDS AWESOME!!!

I would consider an aem if you have or are a decent tuner with that setup. I am not one to know ecu flash or any other piggy back or flash but I just had my aem put in and tuned and the driveability is almost better than stock and it feels as if I picked up 50+whp on pumpgas alone...this on the stock turbo.

WTF - getting **** over a post is for retards. the guy asked for feedback and he is getting just that. 2l and 35R = drag racer. that setup would not be any fun to drive on the street, not even on the freeway. the power will come way too late. as far as the parts he's using they look really good. I would suggest a little more displacement to give you better spool. you also don't have to get an ems. the latest breakthroughs with the stock ECU look promising. i would keep my options open.
