The only thing the car will suck at is autocrossing but again you won't be doing that with 600-650 awhp anyway stroker or not. IF you do decide to drag race it and trap any higher then say 128 or so you will be happy you can go over 8000rpms.

Listen to Dave, he was one of the first to make Good Runs, i think there are alot of people that are plauged with the 2.0/2.3 Wars. this is the way i Break it down..]

2.0

Pros

Great Reliability Great Power gas mileage, Cost Effective 9000+ redline if properly built.

cons

lack of low end.... mmmm Like waiting for Vtec With a Kick in the Pants. Late Spool

2.3

Tons-O-Torque.

Quick Spool..... Dont have to Rev to high, easier on trany.
lack I cant wait for my build up to be finished.
more Street Friendly..

Cons,

Reliability, Cost, .. Cant think of too many

Only issue I see with this setup is the TiAL BOV if you are sticking to the stock ECU. When I installed the AMS 50 trim on my car I have their upper pipe with TiAL. The car ran like crap even after Chris/Martin spent nearly 4 hours tuning it. I also had multiple SES codes and once I swapped it back over to Recirc all those problems disappeared. Just some FYI...

Also if you like to have low end torque I second the notion for a stroker. The 50 trim doesn't reach full boost till 3700 which seems like an eternity if you don't immediately downshift.

People keep talking about how the 2.0 wouldnt be any fun on the street, shifting at 9000 sounds pretty fun to me

Granted I don't personally have a GT35r even on a stock block, but the few posts I've read from people that have similarly sized turbos seem to love them on the 2.0.

Then again, I only read this on the internet.

Your setup will be nice. I've gone the AMS route myself but with a 2.3 and a 37r. Everything is of the highest quality, good fitment, and it's proven.

I can say having a 2.3 and a 37r I have a great daily driving experience. I don't even feel lag in the slightest. It's a hard decision between the 2.0 and 2.3, I figured I like to drive the car and I am not a pure track junkie so the 2.3 suited my needs better. Off boost response I noticed the second I put it in gear and moved the car.

Reliability I have to truly wonder. 2.0's a proven engine yes but 8500+ is a very high rpm level. That alone I would think be more stress on everything, and equal the worries everyone has with a 2.3 and longevity.

Either way you will love the car.

If u read correctly, and knew your stuff, you would understand that the daily driving (turbo lag no tq) for daily driving cna be a pain in the *** going to work.. and the built 2.0 is made for more top end, where as the 2.3 stroker is used towards alot more tq for road racing and autox. Understand?

I have read correctly, people seem to think that a 2.3 is SOOO much larger thana 2.0. Well guess what, thats ony 300 more cc's whle significantly lengthening the stroke and piston speed. IMHO I would gladly sacrifice spooling 500 rpm earlier but be able to shift 1500-2000 rpm later Also, people say good things come to people who wait.... I'll wait a little to get some insane top end

Honesly the thing I dont understand is you. Whats with the huge parts list when all you have is a catback, fuel pump and "partial flash" At first I was surprised why some one who appeared to have a gt35r on a 2.0 was talking the setup down but it kind of makes sense now.

BTW nice 13.3 run

IF youre going to drag race it and primarily be on the highway I think either 2.3 or 2.0 will do.
