I think this is the same kind of problem smokedmustang ran into, not too sure He said he broke a C clip that holds the input shaft in place. Then when it poped in it stripped out the splines on the thing.

/\ whew! That was a good one... Seriously, it is a possibility, but I'd not hold my breath if he is modded.

VRamirez2004,

Call up Shep or TRE!!! Even if you could get the replacement, it is going to require a tear down to get all that metal out of the unit.

Here is mine. Jon at TRE has parts in stock! He said this is not a "rare" occurance, as he has a few in his shop with the same problem. (NO, not all his TC's either) just an across the board issue. Mine was a strengthened one at that!!

Not too long, call Jon FOR SURE!! He is the master in my book! I haven't got mine back yet, I told him to "take his time", as my car is done for the winter anyway. I am in NO rush. Just call him, and thank us later!

I think I might go to the dealer on tuesday just to see what they would say I can use a good laugh Besides it wouldnt hurt I never planned on using the warranty that I got with the car especially after seeing all the post on this forum where it is almost impossible to get something fixed from mitsubishi.
