I do experience some chatter at low speed or when slowing quickly

i had an excedy twin in my 03. Does anyone have any idea of the weight of that flywheel as compared to the act prolight flywheel?

The Exedy twin disc is a pretty small diameter flywheel, but it weighs a fair amount. If I remember correctly, the whole clutch package weighs around 38lbs, so I'm going to guess it's in the neighborhood of 7-9 lbs.

I ordered the act clutch with the prolight flywheel from Chris at nolimitmotors and he told me there will be NO driveability issues with the flywheel. He told me they have put them in plenty of street cars with no problems at all. I talked to him about some of the negative feedback i got about the flywheel and he told me to trust him as i will have no problems. The difference in weight is about 4 pounds between the streetlight and prolight flywheel. EJ evo just said that the excedy flywheel he figures is about in the neighborhood of 7-9 lbs. The streetlight should be about the same weight as the stock flywheel which from what i hear is about 12 lbs. (i,m not sure about that weight, its just what i heard from other evom members)So if the excedy is around 7-9 lbs then i,m guessing the prolight should be around 8-9 lbs. I had an excedy twin in my 03 with really no problems once i got used to it. So i,m guessing that the prolight at 8-9 should be fine. I spoke to ACT man and he also said i should have no problems at all.Once its installed and broken in i,ll let everyone know what the deal is.

I think you will be alright with the Prolight, I thought it was lighter....

The Exedy MF04 is 11.2 or 11.9lbs and that one is not that bad to drive.

Let us know how you like it!
