act clutch
I have this clutch but I didn't get the flywheel... But it's one of the best mods you can do over the stocker... Grabs really good no clutch burn when you do 6000rpm launches....

The ACT clutch kit is a great, it will handle anything the stock turbo will throw at it, even most bigger turbos also. Shoot me a pm if you need one, we have them in stock and have a great price.
Thanks,

Thanks,

If you want less pedal engagement and a similar amount of torque load check out the Exedy Stage 1 clutch. It will also put less wear on your drivetrain than the ACT clutch. Not saying the ACT clutch is bad, but rather I have installed/driven enough of them to know.

i just ordered the act clutch from chris(great guy btw) with theprolight flywheel instead of the streetlight one as he is out of them. I called act earlier and they said they wont be available until january. The only difference is the pro-light is a little lighter than the street light. Besides i dont want to wait that long to get my ride back on the road. Anyone needing a clutch i would highly recommend buying from chris as his price for the clutch and flywheel combo (including tax) was only 81.00 more than just the clutch from act.

I have an ACT clutch with a fidanza flywheel, that thing was so light compared to stock but it was harder to rev match at first because it has less rotational mass it accel quick and decel quick as well

what flywheel would you recomend? When i ordered the clutch i asked about the fidanza flywheel to go with the set- up.Chris said they are made of i believe he said aluminum where the act is billet steel which absorbs more heat then the aluminum flywheel. He said there shouldnt be much of a difference in the two as far as driveability goes so i ordered it. I left a message for him to call me in the morning before he ships it out to double check. I am also going to call act in the morning to see what they have to say.

Not the same exactly, but close enough.
I had a modded tohigh hell Eclipse GSX, before I got my Evo. I ran a few clutches in that as well as different flywheel combos.
My favorite setup by far was the Act 2600, with the Streetlite flywheel. I had the fidanza also, but it was just too light for my tastes for drag racing. I liked it well enough for any kind of Auto-x type of thing, as I found it real easy to rev match, but for a good launch.......... I just had to have the revs way higher then I would have liked, and just could not get the feel for it ever. My 60fts with the Act and street lite were consistent 1.6x's, where as with the fidanza which is similar in weight to the prolite, I couldn't do better then high 1.8x's. That's just me, and mind you others like them, but for the 1/4, I really tend to like the feel of a slightly heavier flywheel. On an AWD car most of all.
Plus, with real lite flywheels and a heavy clucth, you tend to chatter more at real low speeds.

Well I can tell you that when the clutch was first installed it was real graby, and I must have stalled like four times at different lights, pretty embarassing but then I got used to where it was engaging. Then during down shifts it dropped rpm so fast I was having a hard time getting it in the gear I wanted before the rpm was to low but then I just learned what rpm to get it at aprox. so that when I got the tranny in gear it would be at my desired rpm. It just takes a little re learning but it was worth it IMO
