stroker vs turbo

I am looking to upgrade my engine and I am not sure if I should do a 2.3 liter stroker kit first or just go with a 50 trim turbo instead. i know I will make larger numbers with the turbo but would it be wiser to do the stroker then a turbo upgrade down the road? thanks

Yea I think it would be better if you build your motor first, then you wouldnt have to worry about things breaking as much..but then again your going with a 50 trim and Im sure there are a bunch of people running that turbo on a stock block..

Go for the turbo, you can make 450whp with the 4g63 without a sweat!

I was told to wait on the FMICwhen I do the turbo upgrade. I have already replaced upper and lower pipes

You'll need it when upgrading. Might as well do it before. Also i'd look into a alky kit and injectors first. are you on stock bpv

you will need injectors when you go with the turbo kit.
I definitely think that you will see better gains with a turbo.
I have the 50trim on a bone stock block with GSC 272/272s on pump gas and the car is a blast to drive on the street.

Depends on how much power you plan on making. I would go with the .50 trim and the basic bolt ons. Unless you plan on make above 500 then I wouldn't worry about engine rebuilds.

50 trim with supporting mods all the way.

Most engines fail not because of mechanical limitations, but because of an inadequate fuel system or poor tuning.

Exactly, make as much power as you want, but if it isn't safe then why bother. User error not mechanical

I am only looking to make 450 to 475hp. I know I will have to replace the injectors,FMIC,probably fuel pump.
