I think there are a lot of guys out there thinking the exact same thing as far as the BR 20Glt or the BB 50 trim. 50 trims are proven to make good numbers with only pump gas whereas the 20GLT seems more of an alky monster. But there are trade offs. The 20GLT has a lot less lag and cost a lot less than a BB 50 trim. I would really like to see Dave test the 20GLT and then pull it off and slap on the 50 trim kit to the same car to see the advantages AND disadvantages of the bigger 50 trim.

The 20gLT is making great numbers on pump gas. I just made 370 whp on our dyno on straight 94 octane, that's excellent.

Dave, for illustrative purposes... Can you elaborate a bit more in terms of the mods in the car? I am assuming Stg 4. Right?

I do have Stage 2 ordered from you guys and it seems that 350-400 WHP (93 OCT) is my HP target for my IX. Just looking for the right path to reach it!

The two cars I have dyno'd here lately had Stages 1-4 on them, they both started with reflashes and ended up with AEM EMS's on them. That is when they went over 400 whp.

A BR Stg 2 car with the LT on it could make 350 whp on a Dynojet on 93 octane, you are going to need atleast a fuel pump upgrade too. It will not make 350 on our dyno.

jbfoco, I can't answer you as I have not dyno'd our 50 trim yet.

Thumbs up

Thanks David for the quick response and clarification!

I do have a Walbro 255 HP upgraded pump already on my car. That is the pump you are referring to... right?

I am looking forward to install the Stg 2 and will contact you guys for the rest of the stgs and for a turbo upgrade.

Dave will your 50 trim kit include everything? Will you make a price for me for the full package, injectors, FMIC, etc. ?

If you're using the car for autox then I think alky is out of the question. If you are seriously looking to go faster around the course, stop looking at turbo upgrades and look into suspension and tires.
An upgraded turbo may very well slow you down around a tight autox course.

You do not have to have the AEM EMS for the 20gLT.

The 255 pump is what I was meaning for a fuel pump upgrade.

The 50 trim kit will be complete and ready to bolt to the car.

On the quote for the 50trim kit with the FMIC and such. I need to know which FMIC you want, we have three but I suggest going with the Race FMIC.

For a reflashed car 680 cc injectors should be enough with the LT/Green turbo.
