50 trim or 20glt

hi everyone i am having a hard time diciding what i should get. i was originally planning on getting the 20glt from buschur w/ install kit which was like $1800 with a new licp which is $200 and getting my exhaust mani ported and polished for around $200 and an ebay o2 for $60
i was adding this up in my mind and it would end up costing around $2250

my main reason for going with this turbo was the price savings but recently i was browsing evom and saw that a new company called AFI is offering 50 trim kits for only $3000.
what would be the whp avantages to getting the 50 trim. advantages that i can see so far is that it comes with the 02 housing, a tubular exhaust mani, licp, dp, intake pipe and all of the lines for only $3000 so this seems like a better value doesnt it.
the car would be mostly used for autox and some track days, which way should i go save myself $700 and get the 20g lt or pay up and get the 50 trim. oh yah and to get real street benifit from the 50 trim would i have to get meth also? what is the spool difference between a bb 50 trim and the 20glt. thanks for the imput guys.

Add another $500.00 to that and get a bigger turbo. I think All is having a group buy.

i'm trying to decide the same thing and from my research, it looks like you'll make more power at 22psi and pump with the 50 trim and not give up much in the spool. it seems to be a great staight pump gas turbo and effective for road race and drag. the evogreen just seems to be a bit overpriced to me for what it offers over a $900 20g-9.

It's been widely expressed that the 50trim is the best pump gas turbo. So, yeah. You can put meth with it and get more power out of it. But it's more of a pump gas alternative.

I'm not real familiar with the 20glt that was mentioned.

AFI's 50 kit is definitely not a "cheap" crappy turbo upgrade. it is a fine kit as well.

^Ignore this kinda crap. You don't need to spend 5k to get what you want. They are nice kits but it sounds like you're on a budget. I haven't seen the AFI kit so I can't comment.

This is a tough choice. You may want to wait until Buschur releases their 50trim kit just to see what their comparisons between the two turbos are (even if you don't end up buying their kit).

It's hard to come up with pros/cons for each of these turbos The stock look and ability to easily get replacement parts are the only things I can think of that set the 20G apart. I'd say the 20G spoolup is a bit quicker... It takes my 20G less than 500rpm from a 4k punch to fully spool... the LT has a slight increase in lag form what I've read.

Again I would wait (i know it's hard) to see BR's comparison...
