is your Greddy Type-S making your car stumble?

Ok, i put a Greddy Type-S on my evo. It is recirculated still.. And at low boost or no real boost the car would stumble or almost stall if you pushed the clutch in and let it go to idle..

I hooked up the smaller nipple (the lower one) to the WG line and the top one to the normal connector and it has fixed the problem.

In the US instructions it says to leave the lower line open, but in the japanses one it shows it connected before the throttle plates. So i hooked it up that way and it has corrected the problem..

i have a turbo xs and we put a ton of mod's on it, the car kept stubling and running rich and wouldnt idle. after a really long time, replacement of a safc and turbo timer, we find the the pick of crap turbo xs valve is sticking and not opening up after you let off the throttle. took it apart, sanded the block down a lil, added more washers and reinstalled, magically the car runs faster than michal jackson after a lil boy. well i guess that was a bad comparison, but not really. the car runs wickedly fricken fast now

so I have the single spring mod and it still stumbles if i just ride the clutch all the way in coming to a light..... from say 3rd gear, if i down shift through the gears it's fine, I have a injen intake... as well so the thought is to get hose and hook up the nipple on the greddy that is suspossed to stay open and plug it into the ic pipe as there is a capped off plug on the upper ic piping? am i on crack?

im not trying to talk down or anything, but have you tried adjusting the BOV, just changing the spring wont do it. You need to adjust it a lil

^^ I have 2 springs, recirc and only about 6 threads showing. every other way didn't work for me. it's best to adjust it your self. It's a pain to adjust cause the turbo is right there and HOT but you gotta do it.

Mine works 100%, you are stumbling because you have compressor surge. You need to modify the BOV. You need to take out the smaller of the two springs. That's what I did.

So just taking out the smaller spring prevents it from stalling? My car stalls randomly sometimes when im coming to a stop, and it really pisses me off.

Thats interesting, i thought the single spring mod was necessary if u want to hold more boost. I had no idea it would help with the idling. Anyways, how many times did u guys turn the screw after u took out the spring? Thanks!

I have the single spring mod and the screw threaded 3 times in from the point it touches the plate, i don't stall or have any other problems except it dips to about 500rmp and then jumps back up...... i can hear it vent at very low boost when i let off so it is opening properly...

so whats the suggestion?
