btw it's not surge if im running up on a light with vaccum....

"Turbo surge or stall occurs under heavy load conditions where boost pressures are high. The main cause is generally an imbalance of pressures between the turbine side and the compressor side of the turbo. When the forces on the turbine are no longer strong enough to drive the compressor side of the turbo adequately, stall occurs"

i also did the single spring mod on my type s and after that i had no problems. After adjusting the screw it gets louder with every turn you make. I put about 7 turns on mine. sounds and works great. How many turns did the rest of you guys do?

According to EVO Moto's type-s mod, they said to turn the screw 2-3 times.....also, they had a way to make the whistle sound of the BOV more distinct somehow......check it out and see what u guys think! I'll be doing the single spring mod tonight and ill let u guys know how it goes!

i've had the greddy type-s and it stumbled no matter how much i adjusted it.

now i have the HKS which holds boost noticably better and I didn't think it stumbled at all, up until yesterday for some reason it would stumble a lot.

Duno what the problem is

Well i just did the single spring mod to my type-s about an hour ago and i think it worked.....i dont know, i drove it a round for a few minutes and the sound is a little more faint, but still pretty cool. Like ec999, my car still stumbles a little bit when im coming to a stop.....i think u just gotta turn the stud a little more in order to make it tighter. Oh well, im gonna figure it out later on!
